U P D A T E S • Sept 2011 ... on the 14th, Jimmy and I took the boat ride up Lake Chelan to Stehekin with a few high school classmates. [View pics, story] • Artie, my good friend for the past fifteen years, died on the 25th of this month. I shall miss her cheerful personality and our weekly and lengthy conversations. Jimmy and I drove to Oregon to attend my grand-niece's wedding on the 27th—a good opportunity to get away, plus reconnect with seldom-seen family members. • July 2011 ... working on rebuilding my own Web site (this one), and writing a memoir. • The concrete walkways were poured around the (new) house this month.
